An online introductory meeting between the Myanmar Institute of Strategic and International Studies (MISIS) and the Centre for International Relations (CIR), based in Warsaw, Poland was held on the afternoon of 21 May 2026. The meeting commenced with opening remarks by the Chairman of MISIS, U Thant Kyaw and the President of CIR, Dr. Małgorzata Bonikowska. During the discussion, the both sides exchanged views on opportunities for future cooperation and collaboration between two institutions, including organizing bilateral seminars, facilitating reciprocal expert visits as well as conducting research cooperation on issues of mutual interest. Members of MISIS as well as the representative of Myanmar Embassy in Berlin attended the meeting.
