Chairman of MISIS Participates in the 1st Angkor Dialogue in Siem Reap, Cambodia
U Thant Kyaw, Chairman of the Myanmar Institute of Strategic and International Studies (MISIS), participated in the 1st Angkor Dialogue under the theme “Fostering Civilizational and Strategic Confluence between India and the Mekong Region”, held in Siem Reap, Cambodia, on 6 June 2026.
The Dialogue was jointly organized by the India Foundation and the Asia Vision Institute (AVI) of Cambodia. The event brought together leaders of think tanks and scholars from India and the Mekong countries. At the dialogue, the participants exchanged views on regional cooperation, connectivity, peace and security, strategic affairs including India’s Act East Policy and Mekong-Ganga Cooperation (MGC), and shared civilizational linkages.
