The Signing Ceremony of the Letter of Intent for Cooperation on the Global South Joint Communication Partnership Program between the Myanmar Institute of Strategic and International Studies (MISIS) and the Xinhua News Agency was conducted on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at the MISIS Office in Yangon.

The Chairman, senior advisors and executive members from the MISIS, and Asia-Pacific Regional Bureau Chief Ms. Chen Huijin, General Manager Mr. Zhao Yue, Yangon Bureau Chief Mr. Zhang Dongqiang and responsible persons from the Xinhua News Agency were present at the event.

Based on this partnership, MISIS and Xinhua News Agency will hold the seminars and discussions using the think tank-media network to enhance the importance of the Global South countries.
