Researchers from Aceh visiting MISIS

Today, three scholars from Aceh, Indonesia paid a visit to Myanmar ISIS. They had a cordial exchange of views on how to promote connectivity between Aceh, Myanmar and India on sea and air routes. The group was led by TEUKU CUT MAHMUD AZIZ, lecturer of Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, AlMuslim University, Aceh. From Myanmar side Myanmar ISIS Chairman, Ambassador U Wynn Lwin, U Kyee Myint, U Ba Hla Aye, Professor Daw Carole Ann Chit Tha and U Khin Maung Lynn took part in the discussion. Aceh and Myanmar are geographically close but the people are far away from each other because of lack of connectivity and contacts. The Indonesian scholars are here in Yangon to find out ways to strengthen relations between Aceh and Myanmar in particular and between Myanmar and Indonesia in general. They are conducting research on this project which is funded and supported by the MOFA of Indonesia.
