Cash Donation Handover Ceremony to the Myanmar Former Foreign Service Personnel Association

A cash donation handover ceremony to the Myanmar Former Foreign Service Personnel Association was held at the Myanmar Institute of Strategic and International Studies (MISIS) in Yangon on 17 November 2025 at 11:30 hrs, where U Than Swe, Union Minister for Foreign Affairs, handed over the cash donations.
At the ceremony, Union Minister delivered remarks highlighting the generous contributions made by Myanmar’s foreign service personnel serving at Embassies, Permanent Missions, Consulates-General, and at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He then handed over the donations to the Myanmar Former Foreign Service Personnel Association. The Chairman of the Association received the contributions and expressed his appreciation for the continued support of the Ministry.
The ceremony was attended by U Thant Kyaw, Chairman of MISIS, Director-Generals and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, retired senior officials currently serving as MISIS members, and members of the Myanmar Former Foreign Service Personnel Association.
Established in May 2020, the Myanmar Former Foreign Service Personnel Association aims to provide a platform for former foreign service personnel to reconnect, to uphold the bonds of camaraderie, and to preserve and transmit the valuable diplomatic experience and knowledge of its members. The Association is currently in the process of registering as a social organization.
